Can we talk about how cool the Wagner Tuba is?
yes. I want to see more of them in chamber music.
Israeli-American ‘new complex’ composer Chaya Czernowin is premiering an orchestral piece this summer with four Wagner Tubas added.
Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Segel singing “The Confrontation” from Les Misérables.

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (Vocals Only)
This must have taken a long time.
This is awesome. Except I kept singing the interlude music the whole time.

The Key to Life
In the Key of C Major,
You’re just learning about the world of Music and Beauty.
Life is simple; Life is pure; No sharps or flats yet,
You’re jut learning to scratch out a new melody.
In the Key of E Major,
You have advanced ten-fold, learning and playing all the while,
Life is joy; Life is fun; only four sharps to play,
So you laugh to the beat and you smile.
In the Key of F# Major,
The Tables have turned, for your staff grown quite full.
Life is rebellion; Life is drama; with six sharps to keep track of,
It’s easier to lose rhythm and control.
In the Key of F Major,
The tables have turned, as the sharps transpose to one flat.
Life has value; Life is love; a C major key change on the way,
The music is accelerando and there’s no going back.
In the Key of D-flat Major,
You’re dying for a break, for things have changed quite so.
Life is longing to go back; Life is nostalgia; you’ve got a flat crisis
And you don’t know where to go.
In the Key of G Major,
You take a rest with one sharp, for your weary fingers need a break.
Life is simple; Life is long; you song’s almost done,
For you only have as long as you take.
In the Key of C# Minor,
The Music has ended, with a sad, but a sweet last chord.
Life is done; Life is gone; but melodies go on,
and as for music..there is always more.
I found this while cleaning my room, it’s a poem I wrote back in high school that I won an award for! I hope you enjoy it, I thought it’d be appropriate for my music blog.
